 Turning the Tables for Youth - A Place to Play Campaign

The Honorable Lindsay Blackett, MLA, Calgary Northwest, Minister of Culture & Community Spirit, paid a visit to Westside Rec Centre on Saturday, January 24, to present the final installment of the Province of Alberta’s $8 Million gift. The Province’s generous support was instrumental in ensuring construction could begin on Westside’s new expansion.
Campaign
To address growing demands, and enhance our existing programs and services, Westside Recreation Centre is developing a 65,000 square foot expansion that will create a leading edge, state of the art interactive fitness environment for young people.
Through our new Youth Centre, youth will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun, interesting and positive activities that will contribute to their overall sense of health and wellness.
We are excited to enter our next phase, the Turning the Tables for Youth Campaign, where our aim is to raise $5 million from the Calgary community, bringing us to our overall goal.
