Westside's new Child Development Centre offers the highest quality childcare in an amazingly fun environment.

Our childcare service and fully certified staff provide parents with worry-free short-term care. Your child will be happy and busy while you visit Westside!

The Child Development Centre features play areas separated by age, ensuring individual attention and age-appropriate activities for newborns, babies, toddlers and children. Play areas include dramatic play, fine and gross motor play, stories and puppet theatre, art activities and a large indoor play structure.

  Childcare must be pre-booked no more than 1 week prior and no less than 24 hours prior to the day requested. All bookings can be made by calling 403.531.5875 Ext 250. Full charges apply to all cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice from the start time booked.

  Drop-in or same-day childcare can be requested but may not be available. Spaces are often limited and are dependant on staffing and scheduling based on pre-booking.

  Block booking is a service available to Members.  Block booking is defined as consecutive weekly bookings for the entire session. Member block bookings coincide with program registration dates. Block booking is non-refundable.

  Block Booking Request Forms can be picked up at the Child Development Centre during hours of operation.

  If you have not checked in within 15 minutes after your booked childcare time, we cannot guarantee your spot.

• Checking In Process

  Children are welcome to visit the Child Development Centre for a maximum of 2 hours for children 12 months & under; 3 hours for children 13 months & older.

  ---

  Parents or caregivers must be in the facility at all times while your child is in childcare.

  ---

  Upon arrival, parents or caregivers are required to sign in and let us know where in the facility you will be located. For continuous communications, you will be provided with a parent pager.

  For security purposes, photo ID may be requested when picking up your child.

  ---

  We consider your child to be sick if your child has had a fever in the past 24 hours, a runny nose (green or yellowish discharge), coughing, diarrhea or anything that may be contagious. We ask that you do not bring your sick children into the childcare.

• Comfort and Care

  If your child has difficulties adjusting to being left in childcare, please allow some extra time to make them feel comfortable and secure before you leave.

  If, after you leave, your child remains unsettled, we will page you to return to the childcare area.

  ---

  Diapers, wipes, clothing, bottles, sippy cups, snacks and drinks should be clearly labeled with your child’s name.
