New! Annual members must hold a valid membership as of the start date of a registered program in order to qualify for the member discount at the time of registration.

Westside’s swim lesson report cards are now online! To access your/your child’s report card, follow these simple steps:

  • Find your SwimGen ID. The ID is listed in the participant’s Westside account under Contact Information
  • Visit swimgen.net/search/westsiderec
  • Enter your SwimGen ID and click Search
  • Click on the report card you would like to view
  • If you would like a printed report card, just click Print at the top of the SwimGen page

Withdrawals are refunded to either the original form of payment or account credit, less the applicable fees.

Six days or more prior to the program start date:
Withdrawals/transfers are subject to a 10% withdrawal/transfer fee.

Five days or fewer prior to the program start date:
Withdrawals/transfers are subject to a 100% withdrawal/transfer fee; no refund or account credit will be provided.

Medical withdrawals:
Withdrawals due to medical reasons must be accompanied by a physician's letter; please contact Westside  at 403.531.5875 Ext 310 to discuss your options.

Westside does not offer refunds/credits for minor illnesses or scheduling conflicts.

Program cancellations:
Westside reserves the right to cancel programs that do not fill to minimum requirements.
Notification will be provided approximately 5 days prior to the program start date and fees will be reimbursed.

Payment is required at the time of registration. GST, where applicable, is applied to the program price.

Where are my receipts and confirmations emailed?
All financial transactions and program information, including receipts, program confirmations, membership renewal notices, rental contracts and bookings will be sent directly to your/your family's primary account contact email. If you have unsubscribed from Westside email, you can find printable receipts and confirmations in your online Westside Account. Westside does not send receipts and confirmations by postal mail.

What programs did I take last session?
Your online account includes information regarding your past program registrations. For program information not listed in your account history call 403.531.5875.

I tried to log in several times, now my account is locked, what do I do?
You may make 5 password attempts before being locked out. Just click on "Forgot Your Password" on the Westside Account login page and you will receive a temporary password to access your account. For locked accounts, please call Customer Service at 403.531.5875 to have your account unlocked.

Why are some programs listed not available for online registration?
Westside closes online registration 7 days prior to a program's start date in order to plan for staffing and program materials. Additionally, some programs have prerequisites and/or special requirements, therefore you may need to register in person or by phone.

Can I withdraw from a program online?
Yes. Just log into your online account, view your Schedules, find your program and click “Withdraw.” Please refer to Registered Programs Withdrawal Policy tab for complete information. Withdrawal fees will apply.

Why do I receive the message "Client does not meet course requirements or prerequisite" when trying to register?
If you receive this message, this client cannot be registered in the chosen program. Please ensure your account information is complete (for example, a missing birthdate can imply the client is not old enough to register for a course). If you are still having trouble, please contact Program Registration at 403.531.5875 Ext 310 to clarify requirements/prerequisites and complete registration.

How do I know that my program registration was completed successfully?
Registration confirmations and receipts are emailed within 48 hours to the primary email address listed in your account. In addition, you can confirm active registrations by viewing your Westside Account details under the Invoices tab.

PAYMENT

What payment options are available for online registration?
Payment must be made at the time of registration.
Online registration accepts Visa, Mastercard or Amex. If you have a credit balance on your account, you may choose to use your account credit toward your program fees.

Can I still register if I have an outstanding balance?
Yes. You will see the outstanding balance on your account, but you will be permitted to register for a program.

Are my online registration transactions secure?
Yes, Westside uses Verisign encryption to protect all transactions. Even though your credit card information is stored in your online account, it is not stored on Westside's network.

Activity Schedules

Westside offers a variety of drop-in activities every day including aquatics, adult group exercise, fitness workouts, gym sports, skating, climbing, and more. Drop-in activities have specific schedules and are included with an annual membership or paid admission. Visit Facility Activities for more information

Personal Fitness Training

A variety of services are available from Westside’s high quality, certified fitness training staff:

  • One-on-one or group personal training
  • One-on-one or group Pilates training
  • Team training
  • Specific training for an event or race
  • Fitness assessments

Parties & Community Groups

Choose from either a two- or three-hour party with a variety of party themes for children 5Y and up. Take a dip in the pool, jump in the gym, ice skate or roller skate, or combine your favorites (maximum 12 children & 3 adult chaperones). Every package includes:

  • Activities of your choice
  • A reserved party room
  • A party contact person
  • A lot of fun!

You are welcome to bring party food/refreshments and decorations. Parties are scheduled on Friday, Saturday or Sunday only.

Go Bananas! Be the ruler of the jungle, these little monkeys will enjoy 1 hour of private unstructured time in the Child Development Centre with the climber and play spaces, plus a one hour party room rental.

Splish splash your way to the wave pool! Take a ride on the waterslide, swim through the lazy river or just dip through the waves. This pool party includes a one hour swim and one hour party room rental.

Score a slam dunk, work on your layups or smash the birdie. Shuttle your way over to the gymnasium for an active birthday party. This package includes one hour in half the gym with a recreation leader and equipment, and one hour party room rental.

Child Minding

Our child minding service and certified staff provide worry-free care while visiting Westside. Your child will be entertained, happy and busy!

The Child Development Centre is an amazing place featuring play areas by age to ensure individual attention and age-appropriate activities for babies, toddlers and children.

Booking for child minding can be done up to 8 days in advance. Drop-ins will be permitted if space allows. Please book child minding online by visiting Child Minding Reservations or by calling 403.531.5875 Ext 250, no more than 1 week prior and no less than 24 hours prior to the day required. Full charges apply to cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to the start time of a child minding booking.

Maximum stay per visit:
Infants 0-12M - 2 hours
Children 13M-12Y - 3 hours

Upon arrival, parents or caregivers are required to sign in and let us know where in the facility you will be located. For continuous communications, you will be provided with a parent pager.

For security purposes, photo ID may be requested when picking up your child.

If your child has difficulty adjusting to being left in child minding, please allow extra time to make them feel comfortable and secure before you leave. If your child remains unsettled after you leave, we will page you to return to the child minding area.

All items should be clearly labeled with your child’s name.

We consider your child to be sick if he/she has had a fever in the past 24 hours, a runny nose, cough, diarrhea or any other indicator that may be contagious. Do not bring your sick child to Westside.

Booking for child minding can be done up to 8 days in advance. Drop-ins will be permitted if space allows. Please book child minding online by visiting Child Minding Reservations or by calling 403.531.5875 Ext 250, no more than 1 week prior and no less than 24 hours prior to the day required. Full charges apply to cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to the start time of a child minding booking.

Maximum stay per visit:
Infants 0-12M – 2 hours
Children 13M-12Y – 3 hours

Upon arrival, parents or caregivers are required to sign in and let us know where in the facility you will be located. For continuous communications, you will be provided with a parent pager.

For security purposes, photo ID may be requested when picking up your child.

If your child has difficulty adjusting to being left in child minding, please allow extra time to make them feel comfortable and secure before you leave. If your child remains unsettled after you leave, we will page you to return to the child minding area.

All items should be clearly labeled with your child’s name.

We consider your child to be sick if he/she has had a fever in the past 24 hours, a runny nose, cough, diarrhea or any other indicator that may be contagious. Do not bring your sick child to Westside.

A Westside Waiver is required for all program participants. A parent/guardian may complete and submit the new Westside Waiver in their online Westside Account.

  1. Log into your account by clicking Westside Account.
  2. Select the program registrant for whom you are signing the waiver
  3. Click on the Waiver tab at the top of your account screen
  4. Read the Waiver document, then digitally sign at the bottom
  5. Scroll back to the top and click the Submit button
  6. You’re done – thank you!

Tips:

  • Your main account email is your Login ID. If you’ve forgotten your password or have never logged in before, you can request a password by clicking “Forgot your Password?” then following the instructions.
  • You’ll need to sign a waiver for each program participant.

Westside Guide for Support Workers/Aides

Complete information can found in the Westside Day Camp Parent Handbook. Please read carefully prior to bringing your child to camp.

Children must be signed in and out by a parent. Parents may authorize another adult to sign their child in and out, or allow children 10 years and older to sign themselves in and out, by completing the Authorized Pick Up Form.

Sign-in begins at 8:45 am for full day camps and 10 minutes prior to camp start time for half day camps. Latecomers will be required to wait for an available staff person to assist in locating the camp. Sign-out begins 10 minutes prior to camp end time. If your child needs to leave early, inform your camp leader at drop off time and they will let you know where the camp will be for pick up.

Children not picked up within 10 minutes of camp end time will be transferred to post-care. Post-care fees will apply.

Westside reserves the right to request identification from any person picking up a child from camp. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to ensure the safety and security of your children.

For the safety of all our participants, the following lifejacket rules apply:

Participants 7Y and under are required to wear a lifejacket during swim activities.

Participants 8Y-12Y are required to wear a lifejacket during swim activities and/or successfully complete a Swim Assessment test. Swim Assessment tests will be conducted during camp.

Westside reserves the right to require the use of a lifejacket for swim activities during programs.

Both the form and medication to be administered must be given to the camp leader or supervisor for secure storage. Westside happily welcomes children with special needs. To ensure that your child has an enjoyable experience, please complete the medical portion of your registration. If your child requires an aide, please see the Westside Guide for Support Workers/Aides

However, in the event a parent cannot be reached, EMS will be called and efforts to reach a parent will continue. Summer Camps: lost and found items are stored in the Leisure Ice Arena for the week of camp. At the end of the week, lost and found items are transferred to Customer Service and stored for a maximum of 2 weeks.

Winter/Spring Camps: lost and found items are stored in the sign in/out location for each camp. At the end of the week, lost and found items are transferred to Customer Service and stored for a maximum of 2 weeks.

Westside is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

A:  Waitlists are processed in the order of sign-up, and you will be notified of openings. If you are offered a spot, you have 24 hours to register. If you do not register within 24 hours, the open spot will be offered to the next person on the list.

Q:  Can I register my child for an older age group?

A:  Participants must be the appropriate age by the program start date to register for camp. Our goal is to provide the best quality camp experience for all registrants by strictly enforcing age requirements.

Q:  Can my child stay at Westside between two half-day camps?

A:  No. Westside does not offer a lunch service. You must pick up your child between camps.

Q:  How do I arrange pre- or post-care?

A:  Pre- and post-care is available for full-day camps. Register online at Program Registration, or by telephone at 403.531.5875 Ext 310, or in person at Customer Service. 

Q:  Who can I contact if I need to get an emergency message to my child during camp?

A:  Please contact Customer Service at 403.531.5875 Ext 0. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate camp leader/supervisor.
