Westside is excited to announce we are launching a mobile app for our valued Westside members, pass holders, and program registrants. This handy new app includes:
- Your Member ID to scan for gate entry (for you and other family members who are connected to your Westside account)
- Program registration
- Your registered program schedules
- Drop-in class schedules – group exercise, aquatic fitness and more
- Account information
To download the app, visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your mobile device and search “WestsideRec”. The app is free; just log in using the email address and password on your Westside account. Now you’re ready to go!

Here are a few FAQs about the new Westside app:
Q: Who can use the Westside app?
A: Anyone who has a Westside account. So, if you have an annual membership or monthly pass, have registered for Westside programs, or have had a membership in the past, you have a Westside account.
Q: How do I log into the Westside app?
A: Use your account email and password to log into the app, and you’re good to go! If you can’t remember how to access your account, Customer Service can help. Stop by on your next visit or give them a call at 403.531.5875.
Q: Does the Westside app have my family’s information, too?
A: The Primary Contact account includes details for the whole family – memberships, program registrations, schedules. If you are not the Primary Contact, you will only see your own information.
Parents of children are encouraged to log into their family’s Primary Contact account to see their children’s Westside information.
Q: Can I use the app to access the Westside entry gate?
Yes! Just use the Member ID button on the bottom of the app screen and you can scan at the gate using the ID barcode. If you are the Primary Contact for your account, just swipe to see/use the ID barcode for other family members.
Program registrants can present their program information listed on the app’s home screen to the gate attendant for entry.
Q: Can I register for programs on the app?
A: Yes, you can! It is important to note that the app is not quite as quick as the online experience, so if you are registering on opening day or hurrying to register for programs that fill quickly, registering through Westside’s website may be a faster option.
Q: Can I see all the drop-in opportunities on the app?
You will be able to see drop-in classes like group exercise, aquatic fitness, shinny and other classes, plus services like youth orientations and child minding.
Facility schedules, however, are not yet available in the app. We are working to have facility schedules for the gyms, aquatic park, fitness centre and arenas available in future app upgrades.
Q: Can I change my account information or add additional family members on the app?
A: No, you’ll need to visit your account on www.westsiderec.com or call us at 403.531.5875 to update personal or family information.
Q: When I register for programs, can I add a new or updated credit card?
A: Yes. You’ll be able to add payment information when as part of the registration process.
